Phyllis Rowley - Artist
|
Phyllis has combined her love of painting and photography in her new
mixed media work. Inspired by the beauty of nature, she photographs beautiful natural landscapes and gardens in the United States and Europe.
The captured images are then incorporated into mixed media paintings in her studio.
A select few of these original creations
are then hand printed by Phyllis using the finest quality archival inks and papers.
Phyllis has exhibited in galleries in
New York City, New England and France. She is a graduate of Parsons School
of Design and has taught many college and continuing education courses in
Art, Creativity and Photography. She also teaches Pastel Workshops in
Italy and at Art Centers in the United States. Currently, she is on the
faculty of the
Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan, Connecticut where she teaches
pastel painting.
Phyllis works with Art Dealers, Interior Designers, Art Consultants,
and Fine Art Publishers. She also enjoys doing commission work for private clients and corporations. These projects
include capturing special moments in people’s lives, painting beautiful gardens and creating imaginative semi-abstract
works inspired by the
beauty of the natural world.
With her background in interior design, Phyllis enjoys creating work
for clients that not only reflect their wishes and her artistic
expression, but also enhance the environment in which the art is placed.
